As summer ends,

And school approaches,

The sun starts to rise and shine.


So early in the morning,

Students had to get up,

And went to get dress.



To start thinking about,

A brighter future,

And a greater success.



A chance they can say to themselves,

That one day I can become a star,

As they work so hard,

One day they will go far.



To reach their goals,

And to fulfill their dreams,

With their classmates right beside them,

So they can work,

Together as a team.



Teachers came to teach,

Students came to learn,

Whether in a school or job,

As they earn themselves with a associate or a bachelor’s degree.



If they were,

To lead by example,

As they get older,

To go to college,

As they further their knowledge.



To become as young adults,

To become as greater leaders,

In seeing that they can and,

Will make a difference.

Parents drop their kids, To school at, Sandy Hook Elementary, But is sad to say that, This will be the last time, They will ever see, Their loved one once again. This town has it's, Up’s and down’s, But full of pain and grief, But why would an evil madman, Take an innocent life, In such hatred and betrayal, The news media coverage, Says it all.
